Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 June 2025 · Effective: 12 June 2025

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

2. Acceptance of terms

By submitting an enquiry form, completing enrolment, or accessing any programme content, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service or enrol in a programme.

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Service description

Gradientredf provides online AI development programmes as described on the website. Programmes include live online sessions scheduled in Malaysian Standard Time, recorded materials, problem sets, assignment submission and feedback, and, in the case of the residency, two in-person weeks and a dedicated mentor.

We reserve the right to modify programme content, scheduling, and delivery format where necessary, provided that such changes do not materially reduce the educational value of the programme you enrolled in. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled participants in advance.

The Service is primarily intended for users based in Malaysia. Access from other jurisdictions is permitted but we make no representation that the content is appropriate or compliant with local requirements outside Malaysia.

4. Enrolment and accounts

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment (or the first instalment, where an instalment plan has been agreed). You will receive an enrolment confirmation by email to the address you provided.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of any login credentials issued to you. You must not share access credentials with any third party. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, notify us immediately at [email protected].

We may suspend or terminate account access if we have reason to believe credentials are being shared or misused.

5. User responsibilities

You agree to use the Service and programme content only for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You must not:

Violation of these responsibilities may result in immediate termination of your enrolment without refund.

6. Intellectual property

All programme content — including course materials, problem sets, worked solutions, recordings, assessment documents, and this website — is the intellectual property of Gradientredf and is protected under Malaysian copyright law.

Upon enrolment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use programme content for your own personal learning during the programme period. This licence does not permit distribution, reproduction for commercial purposes, or sharing with third parties.

Work you produce during a programme — assignments, code, designs, project deliverables — remains your own intellectual property. By submitting work for feedback, you grant us a limited licence to review, annotate, and, in the case of the residency's public showcase, display that work with your name, unless you request otherwise in writing before the showcase date.

7. Payment terms

Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of all materials, infrastructure access, and, for the residency, in-person week accommodation and travel as described on the programme page.

Payment is accepted via FPX, bank transfer to Maybank, CIMB or Public Bank, and selected e-wallet options. Instalment plans are available for the Regional Cohort Residency on request; instalment terms are confirmed in the enrolment agreement.

Refund policy: If you withdraw from a programme more than 14 days before the programme start date, you are entitled to a full refund. If you withdraw within 14 days of the start date but before the programme begins, a 50% refund applies. Once a programme has started, no refund is available unless the programme is cancelled by us, in which case a full refund is provided. For the residency, travel and accommodation costs for in-person weeks already incurred by us are non-refundable after bookings are confirmed.

All fees are subject to any applicable Malaysian taxes.

8. Programme-specific terms

Mathematics and Programming Bridge: The readiness assessment at the end of this programme is a written document. It describes where you stand at the end of the programme and does not constitute a formal qualification or academic credential.

Model Deployment and Serving Infrastructure: Cluster and inference budget are provided as part of the programme fee and are for use within the programme only. Access to shared infrastructure ends at programme completion. The written assessment record issued at the end describes your performance; it is not an industry certification.

Regional Cohort Residency: Introductions to employers offered at the conclusion of the residency are made as introductions only; we make no representation regarding employment outcomes. The public technical showcase includes your project and name by default; you may opt out by notifying us in writing at least 4 weeks before the showcase date. Travel and accommodation arrangements for in-person weeks are made by us; specific logistics are confirmed with each cohort in advance.

9. Disclaimers

The Service and programme content are provided on an "as available" basis. We make no representation that completing a programme will lead to any specific employment outcome, salary level, or professional advancement. All such outcomes depend on factors outside our control.

Where programme content touches on fields that are regulated in Malaysia or elsewhere — including but not limited to financial services, healthcare, and legal practice — that content addresses the engineering only and does not constitute professional advice in those fields. You should obtain appropriate professional advice before applying technical knowledge in regulated contexts.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, though we will take reasonable steps to maintain availability.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability to you in connection with this Agreement — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the programme to which the liability relates.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations where that failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government action, or failure of third-party infrastructure providers.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gradientredf, its instructors, mentors, and affiliates from any claim, loss, damage, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your breach of this Agreement, your use of the Service, or your violation of any applicable law.

12. Termination

You may withdraw from a programme at any time by notifying us in writing. The refund terms in Section 7 apply.

We may terminate your access immediately if you breach any term of this Agreement. In the event of termination for breach, no refund is due.

Sections 6 (intellectual property), 9 (disclaimers), 10 (limitation of liability), 11 (indemnification), and 13 (dispute resolution) survive termination of this Agreement.

13. Dispute resolution

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, with the courts of Sarawak as the primary forum where applicable.

Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by notifying the other party in writing and attempting good-faith resolution within 30 days.

If informal resolution is not achieved, either party may refer the dispute to mediation under the rules of the Malaysian Mediation Centre before commencing litigation.

For enquiries or disputes, contact us at [email protected].

14. General provisions

Entire agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between us regarding the Service and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, or agreements.

Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it subsequently.

Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement without our prior written consent. We may assign this Agreement to a successor entity without notice.

Notices: Formal notices to us should be sent to [email protected] or to our registered address. We will send notices to the email address you provided at enrolment.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. For enrolled participants, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
